RBI decision on reservoir set aside
Bimal Jalan Committee on BI surplus reserve could not take any decision today. Now the budget is expected to be decided in the meeting scheduled to be held in July. The committee will give its recommendations on the RBI's reserve limit. Jalan Committee members have decided to suspend the decision of Jalan Committee on RBI Reserve in an attempt to resolve the differences. Now in July, the RBI will decide on the Capital Framework.
Significantly, the Reserve Bank has surplus capital of about Rs 9 lakh crore. To transfer this to the government today, the final report was submitted to Bimal Jalan Committee. Let us say that after the dispute between the government and the RBI on this issue, this committee was formed in December in December. There is a difference between the government and the RBI about this reserve. This committee will set the RBI's reserve limit.
